Terms of Service.
Last updated: October 25, 2026. Please read these terms carefully before engaging SliceCode for digital engineering services or software licensing.
1. Scope of Engagement
SliceCode (“SliceCode”, “we”, “us”) provides full-stack digital product engineering, high-performance website development, custom web applications, AI automation, and proprietary offline desktop software licenses. All custom development projects are governed by individual written Scope of Work (SOW) proposals or formal engagement agreements.
2. Intellectual Property (IP) & Code Ownership
Bespoke Client Work: Upon settlement of all milestone invoices according to the agreed contract, 100% of the custom source code, bespoke designs, assets, and database schemas created specifically for the client are assigned in full to the client. The client receives full repository transfer (e.g. GitHub organization handover).
Proprietary Tooling & Pre-existing Frameworks: Open-source libraries (e.g. Next.js, React, Tailwind) remain subject to their respective open-source licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0). SliceCode retains the right to display non-confidential project visual outcomes and public URLs in our portfolio, unless an explicit Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is executed prior to kickoff.
3. Desktop Software Licensing (SliceCode Offline Billing)
Purchasing an SliceCode Offline Billing Software license grants a permanent, non-exclusive, non-transferable single-workstation license.
- Zero recurring monthly fees or royalties.
- The client is solely responsible for performing regular database backups via the software’s 1-click encrypted USB export utility.
- SliceCode provides remote installation assistance via AnyDesk and 1 year of free bug fixes and software updates.
4. Payment Milestones & Refunds
Standard client projects operate on a milestone schedule (e.g. 40% project kickoff advance, 30% alpha prototype approval, 30% final deployment and repository handover). Invoices are payable within 7 business days via bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS), UPI, or corporate payment gateway.
Due to the customized nature of engineering sprints, payments for completed milestones are non-refundable. For desktop software licenses, a 14-day trial period or remote demo is provided before purchase confirmation.
5. Post-Launch Warranty
Every custom website and web application delivered by SliceCode comes with a complimentary 30-day warranty window commencing upon live deployment. During this window, SliceCode remedies any reproducible software bugs or design regressions at zero additional charge.
6. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law
In no event shall SliceCode be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from third-party server downtimes (e.g. Vercel, Supabase, AWS), telecom disruptions, or unauthorized access to client hardware.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
